Alright! Time for some updates. I've been very tired for the past weeks. was out like almost every day of the week and this 2 week break wasn't much of a break at all seriously.
But anyway let's take a look at what i did for the past week, from my last post.
24th may
I went for Youth Leader's Camp 2(YLC2). was a facilitator again. But this time, the facils were grouped in pairs because of the surprisingly small number of participants. my partner for the day was tee yong. and WOW. was very impressed with his wisdom and knowledge about facilitation. he had many ideas and variations on conducting some of the team building games for the secondary school kids.
And the both of us managed to handle the kids well and conduct the games quite well. and did i mention i was very impressed with his debriefing style. He always manages to relate all the learning points of the activities to life skills and lets the participants know how they can apply it to real life situations. I must say i really enjoyed the first debrief session which both tee yong and i conducted.
25th may
I pretty much slacked at home. But i had a good rest. :)
26th may
Met up with ying jia for a turkish lunch. It was supposed to be a turkish dinner scheduled for the previous night but she couldnt make it so we changed it to friday instead. So we met at bugis and walked to Alaturka Turkish Restaurant at Bussorah Street, which was near Haji Lane. The food there was not bad. But their serving was quite shocking. I was expecting a a normal sesame bread when i ordered it from the menu, but when it came, I WAS STUNNED. in front of me layed one of the biggest bread i've ever seen. Even ying jia was shocked.
So we thought there would be lots of filling in the bread. so i tried to cut it. I found out there was nothing inside but air. Disappointment but it was still quite tasty anyways, but only if you ordered it with some cold appetizers. otherwise it's just plain tasteless. :) everyother drink or food we ordered "exceeded" our expectations as well. But it was a fun experience afterall.
Then we went to town to get myself a new pair of havis. Got a gree/white one. Looks nice.
We then parted ways. She went for her manicure session while i went to school for briefing for the Pinnacle first aiders. I stayed in school that night because we had to meet very early the next day and prepare for the race. I couldn't sleep that night. Can't believe it. i was tossing and turning but yet i couldn't sleep. okay i did sleep for 15 mins. but 15MINS!! it was of no use at all.
27 May
The day of the Pinnacle. I was first stationed at the park connector at West Coast Road with shermond then redeployed back to the school swimming complex. had a great chat with him. about football, the latest movies and stuff. then one by one the racers started to run past us. saw alot of OB peeps. was cheering them on and giving them high fives to encourage them. Really admired their determination. the route was not short at all. But they made it through. at the end of the day. i was so damn tired i just wanted to lie down and sleep. :) anywhere would have been great. But i still had to attend a family gathering later in the evening. OH and i also had a short chat with one of the X-ventures peeps. Her name is Wei Ling. Saw her at the bus stop and we took 61 together since she lived at bukit merah. she was a nice girl. enjoyed the chat though it was short.
AND i finally got to see my baby nephew for the first time. The baby was so cute with his eyes closed and sleeping soundly with the puffy cheeks. LOL. his name is Ethan. Nice name i must say. Maybe i might just try to carry him and my other baby niece. the next time i see them.
Well thats all man! :)
on a seperate note, i can't wait for Attachment at KPMG. So sick of school life.
I know what those people having attachments now are gonna say, but i dont care! i just wanna experience attachments man. at least i dont have to study for tests and exams while im having attachments!

Cold weather + Cafe = Perfect
Looking at the weather now, with the strong winds blowing. I feel very chilly, but i like it actually. I just wish i am at a cafe now, enjoying a cup of Warm Caramel Macchiato and reading a book or surfing the net with a laptop.
Chilling out with friends at a cafe would be great as well :)
I just love cold weather and a cafe i guess.

Runway Cycling!!
What a way to mark the end of the weekends for me! I just went for the SAFRA Runway Cycle Challenge today with Jia Jun, Daren, Yu Heng and Wen Ting. It was a very fun experience. but maybe it was because i was too tired and the weather was too hot, thats why i didn't manage to complete the 45km Endurance Challenge. Cuz for the previous 2 days i had underwent vigorous outdoor activities. So i guess i was almost physically drained by today. Friday i had OB Training at Kismis, where i was the belayer and Saturday i had EDU Camp Recee with 16th comm.
I'm like super deadbeat by now. Ass hurts! HAHAH but still had a fun day. :)
I realized one thing though, i guess i should really start exercising even more. My stamina has been awfully low ever since the turn of the year. Shit man. and my NAPFA test is on 7 July. Fuck! gotta chiong already!
And great news! My mum told me my nephew has recovered from his viral infection. Great! Hope to see him real soon! hahaha don't know how he looks like though. LOL

OB @ KAP!
nope its not OB @ King Albert Park MAcs LOL.
its OB @ Kismis Adventure Park. There's more than one meaning for the acronym, KAP.
haha yeah we had our first ever NPOB training at Kismis Adventure Park (KAP) today. Was a different experience i must say. Even the PT was different. And for once, i didnt take the role of facil while at the park. Was an AO(Assistant Officer) today. my job was to belay those climbing up the rock wall/ or sports climbing. Was an interesting and fun experience. Belaying 4 groups of OB peeps up.
I gotta say it was tired as hell. and i suffered a few rope burns on my left hand. but it was just minor burns. luckily i brought my shades along. The sun was so glaring you couldnt believe it. Man i love my shades LOL And i would try to take a break while i can. The fatigue was building up rather quickly. But its all part and parcel of being a belayer. so yup.
I would say i had fun! :)
but sadly, my day was rather marred by the news that my 1 month old nephew had a viral infection and was sent to the hospital. was quite shocked and felt sad for my cousin who had just given birth to him a month ago. was supposed to go to my uncle's house to celebrate the 1st month of my nephew. but it was cancelled. i really hope he's fine. heard from my aunt, he had fever and had to be admitted to the hospital. The doctor is feeding him some sort of anti biotic via drips.
Really hope he's fine man. he's just a baby and doesnt need to go through all these at at such a young age.

Ghosts of Girfriend's Past
headed down to town to meet Sly for dinner. It's been a long time since i last met him and had a dinner. So we just met at Orchard MRT then proceeded down to Cineleisure to have our Dinner there. Had it at HongKong Cafe. Very satsifying dinner indeed. hahah
we spent our time just catching up with each other's lives. Sharing all the jokes that he missed when he's having attachment, while we were in school. Especially about Paulina.HAHAH. we just laugh whenever we talked about paulina. kinda sad for her really. LOL
So anyway, after dinner we just walked around cine looking to digest the rather sumptuous dinner we had. I wanted to get a new pair of Havis. but there was no more size for the design i wanted. Oh well, next time i guess. The sly suggested watching a movie. was cool with it. we were choosing between Drag Me to Hell and Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past. Decided to choose Ghosts of Girlfriend's pasts in the end cuz i read reviews about the movie saying it was not bad.
HAHA. it wasn't bad at all. Lots of funny moments. So Funny! Definitely worth watching! the way they describe those parts about flirt and sex was damn funny and lame sometimes. But it was definitely good humour.
And it really taught me that if you really like and love someone, you should really tell that someone and not hesitate or wait because you've only got one life to do it! You won't wanna be regretting it when u turn old with all the white hairs, being all alone.
Great day!
Cheers!

What a hat-trick!

Okay i was supposed to make this post yesterday, but i had quite a major headache when i got home, so i decided to take a rest from 8pm all the way till this morning. Yes wasnt feeling very well at all yesterday night.
Anyways, on monday morning i woke up to catch the FIFA Confederations Cup match between Spain and New Zealand. It was total ownage by Spain! i couldn't believe the amount of space given to Spain by the New Zealand defence. It was almost as if they were inviting Spain to attack them and score a goal everytime they got near the goal.
Needless to say, my favourite moment(s) of the match was the Hat-Trick Scored by Fernando Torres. He scored 3 goals in like 16 minutes. He made it look so easy. Guess it was a practice match for him. This further proves why he's one of the best strikers in the world and why so many clubs want to buy him.
But, Sorry guys, he wants to go nowhere but stay in Liverpool FC and he's here to stay man, so Premier League watch out. He's gonna gun for glory next season. Who knows he might just win the Golden Boot Award and a nice premier league medal to go with it :)
Fernando Torres
Liverpool's Number Nine :)

First Time at Pasir Ris Park
Just came back a few hours ago from a BBQ at Pasir Ris Park with OB peeps. It was organised by mao quan and a few others. Great Job. Had a good time talking with everyone. hahaha
AND guess what, here is one fact which i realised after going to the BBQ today.
Fact No. 1: I have had BBQs at Sentosa,West Coast Park,East Coast Park But not at Pasir Ris Park. So Yeah. this is the first time, i've been to Pasir Ris park to have a BBQ.
I have to say, the environment was not bad actually. i had a negative impression of pasir ris park before today. Had the impression that there was nothing much to do at Pasir Ris park, except to see the sea and have a normal bbq and provide free blood for mosquitoes. zzz
BUT all that changed after today, its quite a good place actually. It's near downtown east, near E Hub. So there are places to go and chill around the area. not that boring after all. yeah!
Had a good time today :)

Woah. it's been a long time.!
Finally! after a long hiatus, i've decided to continue blogging Again. This time i've decided to change blog.
Time for a change. Yeah. A Refreshing Change. My old blog was rather interesting at first. but after awhile. it just went stale, like i couldn't find the mood to enter anymore posts in my old Blog. BUT, enough of my old blog.
let's talk about my new one. Pardon me for my super Big Header. the one with Fernando Torres Sliding in joy and pride. It's really one of my favourite photos. It just shows so much emotions when he scored that winning goal in the Euro 2008 Final.
So yeah. my blog would definitely have its fair share of football stuff. but those non-football fans need not worry. There will be a healthy dose of other interesting stuff, if i can find or if i happen to experience, i'll make this blog better than my previous. So yeah.
Stay Tuned! :)
