The past week

Alright! Time for some updates. I've been very tired for the past weeks. was out like almost every day of the week and this 2 week break wasn't much of a break at all seriously.

But anyway let's take a look at what i did for the past week, from my last post.

24th may
I went for Youth Leader's Camp 2(YLC2). was a facilitator again. But this time, the facils were grouped in pairs because of the surprisingly small number of participants. my partner for the day was tee yong. and WOW. was very impressed with his wisdom and knowledge about facilitation. he had many ideas and variations on conducting some of the team building games for the secondary school kids.

And the both of us managed to handle the kids well and conduct the games quite well. and did i mention i was very impressed with his debriefing style. He always manages to relate all the learning points of the activities to life skills and lets the participants know how they can apply it to real life situations. I must say i really enjoyed the first debrief session which both tee yong and i conducted.

25th may
I pretty much slacked at home. But i had a good rest. :)

26th may
Met up with ying jia for a turkish lunch. It was supposed to be a turkish dinner scheduled for the previous night but she couldnt make it so we changed it to friday instead. So we met at bugis and walked to Alaturka Turkish Restaurant at Bussorah Street, which was near Haji Lane. The food there was not bad. But their serving was quite shocking. I was expecting a a normal sesame bread when i ordered it from the menu, but when it came, I WAS STUNNED. in front of me layed one of the biggest bread i've ever seen. Even ying jia was shocked.

So we thought there would be lots of filling in the bread. so i tried to cut it. I found out there was nothing inside but air. Disappointment but it was still quite tasty anyways, but only if you ordered it with some cold appetizers. otherwise it's just plain tasteless. :) everyother drink or food we ordered "exceeded" our expectations as well. But it was a fun experience afterall.

Then we went to town to get myself a new pair of havis. Got a gree/white one. Looks nice.

We then parted ways. She went for her manicure session while i went to school for briefing for the Pinnacle first aiders. I stayed in school that night because we had to meet very early the next day and prepare for the race. I couldn't sleep that night. Can't believe it. i was tossing and turning but yet i couldn't sleep. okay i did sleep for 15 mins. but 15MINS!! it was of no use at all.

27 May
The day of the Pinnacle. I was first stationed at the park connector at West Coast Road with shermond then redeployed back to the school swimming complex. had a great chat with him. about football, the latest movies and stuff. then one by one the racers started to run past us. saw alot of OB peeps. was cheering them on and giving them high fives to encourage them. Really admired their determination. the route was not short at all. But they made it through. at the end of the day. i was so damn tired i just wanted to lie down and sleep. :) anywhere would have been great. But i still had to attend a family gathering later in the evening. OH and i also had a short chat with one of the X-ventures peeps. Her name is Wei Ling. Saw her at the bus stop and we took 61 together since she lived at bukit merah. she was a nice girl. enjoyed the chat though it was short.

AND i finally got to see my baby nephew for the first time. The baby was so cute with his eyes closed and sleeping soundly with the puffy cheeks. LOL. his name is Ethan. Nice name i must say. Maybe i might just try to carry him and my other baby niece. the next time i see them.

Well thats all man! :)

on a seperate note, i can't wait for Attachment at KPMG. So sick of school life.
I know what those people having attachments now are gonna say, but i dont care! i just wanna experience attachments man. at least i dont have to study for tests and exams while im having attachments!
